Halgrim was the brother of the main counsellor in the fallen kingdom of Durangarr, and left the kingdom after finishing much of the rune work in the old castle. He knew that there were secrets and portals to be studied in the kingdom, but as long as he kept pushing. So he left to major in runescaping and became the expert in rune making and forging. He keeps experimenting in runes, and there are plenty of opportunities in Mornir.
