Background
He belongs to a race of elves who were cast out from the world of light and the surface long ago. For his people, forests became caverns, sunlight became darkness, and the ability to see and move unseen became the key to survival. With his exceptional speed and perception, he grew into a natural hunter of the night.
His family had lived for generations in a cavernous region north of Shaede. When news spread that the great Veil was beginning to consume the region, the Drow began establishing settlements on the surface once more. He was eventually consecrated as one of the Night Assassins, trained to move between the shadows and strike before his enemies ever knew he was there.
For most of his youth — nearly fifty years — his mother carefully tended to his hair through oils and ancient rituals. Over time, it became more than a symbol of their heritage: his hair could be used as a powerful tool for camouflage and controlling the space around him.
He also inherited a magical bow capable of forming its arrows from darkness itself.
Then the Veil came for his village.
He was the only one who escaped, fleeing back into the caves as the creatures of the Veil pursued him through the darkness. He ran for hours, knowing that, for the first time in his life, he was the one being hunted.
He was eventually rescued by a religious group known as the Acolytes of Gulomirr, who found him and defended him from the monsters lurking in the darkness.
When they finally returned to his village, there was nothing left of his former life.
Only bones.
The Acolytes offered to perform the final rites for his family and friends. With nowhere else to go and nothing left to return to, he embraced their faith and devoted himself to Gulomirr, the god of Justified Fury.
He entered the Holy War with a single purpose: to eradicate the enemies of the order.
For several years now, he has fought alongside the current four-member group, becoming its unseen guardian — a protector from the shadows, fighting against the darkness with darkness itself.
