Background

As a Drow Elf, he grew up deep beneath the continent, surrounded by an entire underground elven civilization. The darkness and monsters of the depths meant that he rarely encountered anyone beyond his own people, and the world above was little more than a distant mystery.

He always wanted one thing: money.

And he was willing to do almost anything to get it.

When the Forest Elves began preparing an invasion to eradicate the Drow, he was offered a price he could not refuse. He sold them a map of the underground settlements, believing that the money and resources would finally give him the life he wanted.

Then the invasion came.

He watched the blood of his friends and family spill because of him.

The survivors fled deeper into the caves, but they left him behind. To them, he was no longer one of their own.

Alone, starving, and without a society to return to, he was forced to climb toward the surface. There, he survived by taking whatever work he could find, each job becoming stranger, darker, and more disturbing than the last.

Eventually, Andhera, the Servant of Darkness, began appearing to him through silhouettes in the shadows. He followed them without knowing where they would lead, until they brought him to a mercenary guild filled with people driven by powerful convictions.

For once, he had found somewhere he could belong.

After being accepted, he discovered that his greatest talent was not fighting.

It was listening.

He became the group's eyes and ears across the world, gathering information, following whispers, and moving through places where others could not. The same darkness that had once hidden his mistakes had now become his greatest advantage.
